Position SummaryThe Administrative Assistant / Front Desk Clerk is responsible for greeting residents and serves various supportive administrative roles and assists in covering various public service operations of the Village as assigned.

Village Manager
Status:
Full- time union hourly employee. Full medical, dental, Defined Contribution match, and life insurance. Vacation and PTO package.
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all the duties which the employee may be expected to perform.
- Greet residents
- Answer phone and emails, handle resident issues
- Process permits and applications
- Record all incoming payments and receipts
- Balance cash drawer
- Update and manage spreadsheets
- Generate invoices for fire, rescue, water/sewer activities and fees
- Attend committee meetings, take minutes, post as required
- Update website
- Type letters, memos, forms
- Filing
- Other duties as directed
Minimum Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities and minimum qualifications necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Strong computer knowledge – Excel, Word, (BS&A preferred)
- Multi-line phone system
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Customer Service Skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting with a controlled climate, where they sit and work on a computer, communicate by telephone, email and in person, and move around the office. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items up to 35 pounds. The noise level in the work environment ranges from quite to moderately loud.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and must pass a drug test and background check.
