Job SummaryThe Administrative Services Assistant supports the daily administrative and operational functions of the Office of Student Organizations and Activities (SOA). This position serves as the primary point of contact for the office and provides administrative, financial, and systems coordination support within a fast‑paced, student‑centered environment serving over 700 registered student organizations. This role coordinates office operations, processes financial and procurement documentation, and supports departmental workflows to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuity of services.
The position works closely with departmental leadership and the Student Success Business Office to facilitate account monitoring, documentation, reporting, and problem resolution in alignment with University policies and procedures. The Administrative Services Assistant provides administrative support for SOA programs, trainings, meetings, and events, while assisting with communications, scheduling, information management, and systems processes that enhance office efficiency. The role also assists students, staff, faculty, alumni, and visitors by providing guidance, referrals, and policy navigation support.
Success in this position requires strong organizational and customer service skills, critical thinking, sound judgement, discretion in handling sensitive information, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with frequent interruptions. Attention to detail, adaptability, and proficiency with administrative and financial systems, including Microsoft Office applications, are essential. This position contributes directly to effective office operations, staff workflows, and the overall student experience through responsive service and operational support.
