Senior Tax Associate

We are currently seeking a talented Senior Associate to join our Lexington, KY office. As a Tax Senior, you will play a key role leading tax engagements as you begin to establish working relationships with clients, peers, and directors. You will continue to develop supervisory and management skills, benefit from ongoing training and mentoring, and work on a wide variety of challenging engagements.

The ideal candidate will be promo table, have an advisory mindset, and possess a strong desire to build a career in client service.

• Plan, schedule and manage all aspects of tax engagements.
• Prepare business and individual tax returns.
• Perform field work to include the preparation of complex work papers along with monitoring the work paper preparation of Staff Accountants.
• Foster teamwork, innovative thinking, and knowledge sharing with team members to enhance service delivery.
• Training and mentoring Staff Accountants.
• Continually learn and become a subject matter expert in your area(s) of interest.

• CPA Certification or eligible and actively pursuing certification.
• 3-6 years of relevant tax experience in a public accounting firm.
• Proven financial, analytical, technical and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent client service and the desire to build business development skills.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee and manage engagements, prioritize engagements and supervise/motivate staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel to client locations, mostly day trips; minimal overnight travel is required.
