Staff Accountant

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, and assisting with various accounting functions. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Assist in internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting regulations and standards.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0-3 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco notes the salary range for the role as follows: $55-70k.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
