Description
Support the engineering design and integration of digital engineering, including model-based systems engineering and the joint simulation environment, as well as tactical networking systems for virtual (primary) and constructive (secondary) Modeling and Simulation analysis. Collaborate with the analytic staff to derive requirements from objectives and customer needs, documenting these objectives and supporting the development of acquisition and technical documentation such as statements of work and specifications.
Assist in developing long-term plans for capability integration within a software-centric modeling and simulation environment. Work with program management to strategize funding and implementation of upgrades and improvements to enhance the virtual and constructive analysis environments.
During integration and execution, support the Lead MBSE engineer as the subject matter expert for network design, integration, utilization, and optimization. Provide insights on network modeling methods and assess the suitability of network models to represent real-world network features, including performance under threat conditions. Offer real-time and post-event data analysis for network health, traffic monitoring, and develop tools and processes to improve network analysis.
Provide insights on the effectiveness of simulation solutions in achieving objectives, data gathering, and recommend modifications for future events.
(10%) travel is required for this position.
Requirements
- Education:
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university. Experience cannot substitute for education. - Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in systems engineering and 2 years in modeling and simulation.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience coordinating operations across multiple organizational boundaries.
- Experience working in dynamic, schedule-constrained, and complex security environments.
