RN Operating Room Seasonal PRNProgram runs from Sept 21, 2025 to April 4, 202670 per hour plus differentials PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
· All seasonal employees are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period.
· Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need.
· Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period.
· During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee).
· Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital.
· Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy.
· Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for extra shift bonuses (D1/CND or D2/ECD)
· Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation.
· Current employees of Medical City Healthcare and HWS are not eligible for the seasonal program.
· Shifts may vary based on the needs of the department.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The RN is responsible for assessing the operative nursing care needs of patients, planning interventions and evaluating outcomes of care. The RN is responsible for providing care, which is appropriate for age specific (pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics), the developmental and safety needs, the planned procedure, and the anesthetic agent used. The RN will communicate and educate the patient and/or their family members and/or significant others regarding events pertinent to their care.

The RN also anticipates and plans for the needs of the surgical team and coordinates the care provided in the Operating Room while maintaining an aseptic and safe environment.
