Machine Operator II role at Mary Kay Global
. The Machine Operator II works independently and in coordination with the Team Lead. Leads line crew to produce cosmetics and OTC (Over the Counter) products, engages, directs and motivates the line crew in all production activities to achieve successful business functions. Ensures compliance with product manufacturing specifications, safety rules, GMP and all applicable regulations. Uses MKBS to record production, ensures downtime is captured, and maintains ownership of the production process to ensure a quality product is produced safely.
Elevates personnel concerns to the Team Lead and contributes ideas to simplify and standardize the workplace. Supports world-class performance and continuous improvement of production and helps achieve strategies and goals of becoming the world-class, low-cost/high-quality producer of choice.
- Lead and motivate line crew while directly participating in ongoing production activities, including finished goods assembly and material handling, quality audits, and FG packing/palletizing.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs/WIs, WO requirements and GMP during all production activities; perform GMP/Safety Audits daily.
- Maintain tools and work areas clean and orderly; sanitize equipment; follow waste management and recycling procedures.
- Utilize current inventory systems to account for material usage, close work orders, and adjust inventory as necessary.
- Operate RF devices to induct bulk/components and move materials; complete all MKBS transactions to replenish components, finalize work orders, and resolve variances.
- Record production information in MKBS and the manual production log; ensure proper coding/labeling of finished goods and maintain finished good documentation.
- Identify and address minor equipment issues, assist mechanics on major issues, and ensure smooth equipment changeovers and setup.
- Experience:
3+ years in manufacturing. - Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. - Must have knowledge of manufacturing processes and troubleshooting; able to interpret SOPs and ensure accurate codes and weights.
- Proficient with GMPs and quality standards; able to read and write English to understand instructions and communicate with others.
- Experience starting/shutting down machinery and making minor adjustments; basic math skills for paperwork and records.
- Must be able to pass the Production Operator II certification after completing the Operations Development Program.
- Data entry and computer literacy to use systems (LIMS, JDE, WM, Informance, MS Office).
- Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills to interface with support groups and customers as needed.
- Ability to work in a team, participate in meetings, and promote safety and continuous improvement.
- Ability to follow daily safety rules; willingness to adapt to changing schedules.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate a pallet jack.

: 5:50 PM – 6:20 AM
