Position: Digital Print Production Operator

You will be responsible for job setup and printing using our Xerox cut-sheet digital printers. Your duties include calibrating printers and color-matching projects against our client's Pantone colors and previous jobs, as well as managing the service and maintenance of the machines as needed.

This is an excellent position for someone interested in entering the industry and building a lasting career.

You will also be trained to assist our large format department in printing, production, and installation projects, including vehicle graphics and wall mural projects that require a second installer.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate Xerox digital commercial printers using Fiery Command Workstation
• Assist in our large format department with installations & production work when available
• Impose files for print & run Alpha Graphics software
• Work with Production Scheduler to prioritize and manage daily job production
• Produce orders accurately, efficiently, and quickly while maintaining the highest quality standards
• Update job status and location in MIS system
• Run proof copies and compare them to the work order
• Control waste and redos by quality-checking jobs as they are being produced
• Complete Quality Assurance documents for all printed jobs
• Track waste, spoilage, usage, and inventory for all digital printing machines
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Ensure that all service “clicks” are credited by the service technician in each call
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Digital printing/Graphics designing experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to multi-task and organize several activities and tasks concurrently
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime, if needed
• Ability to maximize profit through the efficient use of time and equipment
• Can perform basic bindery functions
• Graphic design skills are preferred but not required
• Customer service experience is preferred but not required

Compensation: $17.00 per hour
