Position FunctionSenior Director, Corporate Strategy & M&A – reports directly to the Chief Strategy Officer and drives the company’s strategic growth agenda through both organic and inorganic initiatives. The role leads enterprise‑wide strategy, partnership development, and M&A execution.
Responsibilities- Corporate strategy: assess market trends, competitive insights, and portfolio opportunities.
- Strategic initiatives: provide oversight for top priority corporate and business‑unit initiatives and ensure alignment with enterprise strategy.
- Strategic planning: facilitate annual planning, develop a 5‑year strategic plan, and cascade strategy and measurement across the organization.
- Board & executive leadership: develop business cases for the Board of Directors, build consensus with senior stakeholders, and prepare quarterly Board materials.
- Mergers & Acquisitions: own Acosta’s M&A strategy, prioritize targets, conduct initial discussions and due diligence, manage integration planning, and prepare alignment materials for leadership and Board.
- Consulting experience – 8+ years with 3+ post‑MBA years at a management consulting firm (preferred). Extensive corporate strategy/development experience is also considered.
- Industry exposure – 3+ years in consumer‑facing industries, either in a corporation or during management consulting.
- Functional experience – growth strategy, finance, and/or operations. Ability to drive strategic change across an organization.
- Structured & logical thinking – dissect problems, present hypotheses, and run concise analysis.
- Analytical aptitude – run and manage highly complicated quantitative analysis with defect‑free execution.
- Communication – influence and motivate senior stakeholders across a matrix organization.
- Executive presence – communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Creative, out‑of‑the‑box thinker who is intellectually curious.
- Self‑motivated, high‑energy individual who thrives in a performance‑driven environment.
- Strong prioritization, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Modest in nature and recognizes team accomplishments.
- Highly motivated with vision and enthusiasm.
- Comfortable acting as an individual contributor and team manager (Player/Coach).
