Overview
We are seeking a senior-level Power BI SME to support an enterprise HR and Payroll reporting initiative within our Oracle Fusion Cloud ecosystem. This role will be hands-on and strategic, responsible for standing up scalable reporting solutions, automating manual processes, and mentoring internal team members.
The ideal candidate thrives in environments where reporting capabilities are evolving and can help establish structure, standards, and automation from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Partnership- Act as a liaison between Payroll, HR, and Enterprise Applications to translate business challenges into scalable reporting solutions.
- Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs, reporting logic, and data definitions.
- Proactively identify automation opportunities to reduce manual reconciliation efforts.
- Design, build, and deploy high-performance Power BI dashboards and templates.
- Develop advanced DAX calculations and optimized data models.
- Implement reusable reporting frameworks and standardized templates.
- Automate recurring reporting and reconciliation processes.
- Integrate data from Oracle Fusion HCM/Payroll, timekeeping systems, and other sources.
- Leverage Power Automate to streamline reporting workflows and data refresh processes.
- Collaborate with IT on data extraction strategies (APIs, BICC, extracts, etc.).
- Establish reporting best practices including naming conventions, documentation, and security models.
- Ensure data integrity and role-based security.
- Mentor and upskill internal team members on Power BI best practices.
- Advanced Power BI expertise including:
- Complex DAX development
- Data modeling and star schema design
- Power Query transformations
- Performance optimization
- Experience working with Oracle Fusion HCM and Payroll data.
- Experience integrating multiple data sources into Power BI.
- Experience with Power Automate strongly preferred.
- Experience working in newly implemented or evolving Power BI environments highly valued.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong stakeholder communication and workshop facilitation experience.
