We are hiring a full-time Assistant Manager to support daily operations at our family entertainment center, which includes a kitchen, bar, arcade, and redemption/prize room. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising staff, supporting operations across all departments, and serving as the primary manager on duty during assigned shifts. Assistant Managers work closely with the General Manager to maintain high standards of service, safety, accountability, and guest experience in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment that includes children and families.

Assistant Managers are often the highest authority present during operating hours and set the tone for professionalism, leadership, and guest experience. This role carries real responsibility and decision-making authority and directly impacts staff morale, guest satisfaction, and operational stability. This is not a desk role or a title-only promotion. Assistant Managers are empowered to make real-time decisions, enforce standards, and lead by example.
Key Responsibilities- Operations:
Oversee daily operations across the kitchen, bar, arcade, and redemption areas - Ensure cleanliness, organization, safety, and compliance standards are consistently met
- Monitor food, beverage, and arcade operations for quality and efficiency
- Staff Leadership:
Supervise and support staff across all departments - Manage shift coverage, call-outs, and staffing needs
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure follow-through
- Provide real-time coaching and feedback
- Inventory & Cost Control:
Assist with inventory counts, organization, and ordering - Monitor usage, waste, and stock levels
- Use inventory systems to support accuracy and cost control (training provided)
- Guest Experience & Events:
Address guest concerns professionally and promptly - Support parties, events, and promotions
- Coordinate across departments to ensure smooth execution
- Communication:
Communicate clearly with the General Manager regarding operations, staffing, and issues - Complete shift reports and opening/closing procedures as required
- Assistant Managers are held to elevated leadership standards and are expected to:
Communicate calmly and professionally with staff and guests - Deliver feedback privately and constructively
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries
- Avoid gossip, public criticism, or unprofessional language
- Maintain composure in high-stress situations
- Failure to meet these standards may result in disciplinary action.
- Full-time, on-site position
- Nights, weekends, and holidays required (including Sundays)
- Near-perfect attendance and punctuality are required
- Willingness to step into front-line roles during slower periods
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience preferred, ideally in hospitality, food & beverage, entertainment, or a guest-facing environment
- Experience with scheduling, staffing, and shift coverage strongly preferred
- Inventory or ordering experience preferred
- Strong judgment, accountability, and follow-through
- Food Manager Certification and TABC Certification required (or willingness to obtain)
