Specimen Processing Supervisor - Lewisville, TX, Sunday to Thursday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM
Pay range
: $58,656+ per year
Salary offers are based on skills, training, experience, education, and certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Eligible candidates may receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Supervise functions within the Specimen Processing department, which may include one or more of the following:
Specimen Processing, Test in Question/Problem Resolution, Imaging/Microfilming. Responsible for overseeing daily operations of Specimen Processing, compliance training, training of personnel, monitoring quality of the department, and productivity. Ensure a safe, ergonomic, professional environment. Know and understand all functions of the department.
- Responsible for daily operations of department which may include Imaging/Microfilming, Test In Question and some Problem Resolution Client Service functions
- Oversees safety, ergonomics, maintenance, and cleanliness of department
- Develops and implements Standard Operating Procedures for Specimen Processing in accordance with Quest Diagnostics guidelines
- Reviews SOPs biannually and ensures departmental compliance; identifies need for revisions or additional SOPs
- Where applicable, ensures all licensure requirements are met in collaboration with QA and Medical Director’s offices
- Ensures all documentation is complete and reviewed for internal and external inspection/audit
- Ensures staff meet Compliance Guidelines and Competency Testing; provides training and annual competency assessments
- Monitors incoming workflow from Logistics and maintains adequate specimen supply to technical departments
- May supervise packing and shipping of specimens to other laboratories (IATA regulations)
