Work Schedule:

Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. As a part of the Smart Auction Dealer Lending team, the Associate Analyst is responsible for risk management and identifying growth and profit opportunities. This position may include completing due diligence / financial analysis on comprehensive and administrative reviews associated with underwriting the renewal of existing Smart Auction limits and new Smart Auction acquisitions. Responsibilities include dealer interface / service; monitoring of company Smart Auction portfolio with concentration on areas of risk and loss prevention.

Requires critical analysis and frequent contact with dealership personnel, matrix partners and outside stakeholders. Incumbent is in the process of developing basic skills. A significant portion of time is spent on basic work (e.g., due diligence, document processing, financial/statistical analysis).

The Work Itself
  • May interface with senior management to convey information.
  • Conduct proactive risk recognition.
  • Ensure Smart Auction & White Label spending / posting limits are appropriate based on risk factors, sales rates, volume and seasonal / market fluctuations.
  • Ensure out standings remain within established spending / posting limits at all times.
  • Complete underwriting as well as applicable due diligence on Smart Auction / White Label dealerships with data obtained from both internal and external sources.
  • Participate in regular meetings to review / discuss assigned portfolio and develop strategies for account monitoring;
    Establish appropriate action plans to mitigate risk and address any risk concerns.
  • Manage exposure utilizing current company risk management policies, procedures and guidelines and ensure strict compliance.
  • Seek opportunities to drive additional efficiencies and effectiveness into the Smart Auction processes.
  • Provide superior customer service.
Skills
  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate / Bachelor's degree in business related discipline preferred.
  • 1+ years in financial services or similar industry is required, 3+ years is preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience is preferred.
  • Education may be used as a proxy for experience.
  • Perform technical tasks required to support ongoing business operations.
  • Typically requires comfortable knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
