Primoris Services Corporation is searching for a Staff Accountant in Lewisville, Texas. The Staff Accountant will play an integral role in maintaining and supporting the corporate accounting function within our Shared Services department. For this role, we are looking for a proactive self-starter who enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Responsible for month-end financial reporting and accounting tasks, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations with an emphasis in lease accounting.
• Maintain documentation of accounting processes/procedures and related internal control framework.
• Support other departments to reach organization goals and deadlines.
• Ad hoc projects to assist with other internal projects.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Ability to self-motivate, detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Possesses fundamental accounting knowledge.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and process improvement skills.
• Strong communication skills, must be able to work and communicate with different departments across the company.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP's for a large volume of data.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or pursuing CPA designation.
• Internal control and SOX knowledge.
• Public accounting experience.
• Experience in multi-legal entity environment.
• Proficiency in Large ERP environment, Viewpoint software a plus.
• Knowledge of ASC 842 accounting concepts and familiarity with lease contracts strongly preferred.
