This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Labor & Delivery RN Traveler will monitor maternal and fetal well-being, manage labor progression, assist with deliveries, and respond promptly to obstetric emergencies. This role demands strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide emotional support to patients and families during one of the most significant moments of their lives. The RN will provide safe, efficient, and caring nursing services to achieve high standards of patient care for Labor & Delivery and Obstetrics.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess maternal and fetal patients continuously.
• Manage labor progression and ensure proper protocols are followed.
• Assist in deliveries and manage obstetric emergencies effectively.
• Administer medications and perform cervical exams within scope.
• Interpret fetal monitoring strips accurately.
• Prepare patients for operative deliveries as needed.
• Provide postpartum education and emotional support to families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Montana RN license required.
• NRP certification and STABLE certification are required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in both Labor & Delivery is necessary.
