Department: Warehouse
Responsible for the distribution of goods from Spillers through shipment or delivery to our customers, acting as front‑line customer service to our clientele. Maintains proper inventory controls and vendor relations to ensure adequate stock levels.
Responsibilities- Picking orders and intra‑company transfers for distribution.
- Boxing and preparing goods for delivery or shipment.
- Assisting Sales/Service personnel with machinery deliveries.
- Reviewing orders for accuracy by comparing goods to picking tickets prior to shipment or delivery.
- Operating company vehicle safely and responsibly to transport orders and pickups as needed.
- Loading and unloading company vehicles for deliveries using safe handling techniques and obtaining customer signatures upon delivery; returning paperwork for processing.
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional appearance in accordance with the department dress code.
- Maintaining company vehicle interior and exterior through routine upkeep duties such as washing, sweeping, refueling and periodic oil checks.
- Notifying management of required vehicle service or potential vehicle problems.
- Reporting customer complaints or comments to management as appropriate.
- Performing warehouse operational duties, including restocking shelves, replacing bin labels, and custodial maintenance of the area (sweeping, emptying trash receptacles, removing pallets and cardboard, etc.).
- Handling disposal duties, as needed, to proper landfill or reclamation areas for materials such as pallets, metal goods, or other materials necessary to daily operations.
- Safely operating and maintaining warehouse tools and equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and ladders.
- Attending any mandatory meetings or training sessions as requested by the company.
- Operating and understanding UPS distribution equipment, including scales and computer systems.
- Checking and maintaining adequate stock of warehouse consumables such as tape, boxes, UPS computer printer labels, etc.
- Conducting weekly cycle counting to verify inventory accuracy with inventory management software.
