The Registered Nurse (RN) partners with residents and interdisciplinary care providers to create a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment. The RN provides both direct and indirect nursing care while promoting resident-centered outcomes and maintaining high standards of clinical excellence.

Units Available🧠 3 East – Specialized Memory Care (31 Beds)
  • Focused on residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia
  • Emphasis on verbal and non-verbal communication techniques
  • Understanding and managing dementia-related behaviors
  • Long-term, home-like care environment
🏥 Transitional Rehabilitation Unit (42 Beds)

Located on the second floor of d’Youville Pavilion, this unit provides short-term skilled nursing and rehabilitation services for patients recovering from:

  • Fractures
  • Joint replacements
  • Back surgery
  • Stroke
  • Other short-term illnesses or injuries

Common nursing services include:

  • IV therapy
  • Wound care
  • Geriatric assessment and management
🏡 3 West – Long-Term Care (42 Beds)
  • Long-term placement in a supportive, home-like setting
  • Comprehensive nursing care for residents requiring ongoing support
Job Requirements Education
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
  • Valid State of Maine RN license or compact RN license required
Experience
  • 3 years of previous RN experience preferred
Skills & Competencies
  • Medical terminology knowledge preferred
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams
  • Flexibility to provide coverage 24/7
  • Willingness to float to other units as needed
