The Registered Nurse (RN) partners with residents and interdisciplinary care providers to create a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment. The RN provides both direct and indirect nursing care while promoting resident-centered outcomes and maintaining high standards of clinical excellence.
Units Available🧠 3 East – Specialized Memory Care (31 Beds)- Focused on residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia
- Emphasis on verbal and non-verbal communication techniques
- Understanding and managing dementia-related behaviors
- Long-term, home-like care environment
Located on the second floor of d’Youville Pavilion, this unit provides short-term skilled nursing and rehabilitation services for patients recovering from:
- Fractures
- Joint replacements
- Back surgery
- Stroke
- Other short-term illnesses or injuries
Common nursing services include:
- IV therapy
- Wound care
- Geriatric assessment and management
- Long-term placement in a supportive, home-like setting
- Comprehensive nursing care for residents requiring ongoing support
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
- Valid State of Maine RN license or compact RN license required
- 3 years of previous RN experience preferred
- Medical terminology knowledge preferred
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams
- Flexibility to provide coverage 24/7
- Willingness to float to other units as needed
