This is a full-time, on-site Emergency Psychiatric Registered Nurse role based in Lewiston, ME. The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, administer medications, monitor patient progress, and deliver therapeutic support to individuals experiencing mental health crises. Responsibilities also include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring continuity of care, and maintaining accurate and timely documentation. The role requires responding to emergencies and using evidence-based practices to address the psychiatric needs of patients.
Qualifications- Expertise in psychiatric assessments, crisis intervention, and therapeutic care techniques.
- Proficiency in administering medications and monitoring patient responses in a mental health setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams and patients.
- Ability to maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maine.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (preferred).
- Experience in emergency or psychiatric nursing is highly desirable.
- A compassionate demeanor and ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments.
