Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Care Assistant role based in Lewiston, ME. The Care Assistant will assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, mobility support, and light housekeeping. Additional responsibilities include medication reminders, companionship, and providing respite care for family caregivers. The role requires a compassionate, reliable individual who is committed to supporting clients’ independence and well-being.

Qualifications
  • Experience in providing assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and mobility support
  • Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks and provide medication reminders
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building genuine, compassionate relationships with clients and families
  • Dependability, punctuality, and alignment with the values of respect and empathy
  • Strong communication skills to ensure clear and open caregiver-client interactions
  • Prior experience in home care or a related field is preferred but not required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are a plus
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification is an asset
