Behavioral Health Clinical Team Lead
Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinical Team Lead to oversee the day-to-day management of the Integrated Behavioral Health Department at the Family Medicine Residency program.
This is a full‑time, 40‑hour per week, benefit‑eligible position.
Compensation is based on experience and dedication to providing top‑quality patient care and reflects competitive, experience‑based pay rates.
Responsibilities- Clinical supervision of full‑time clinicians and trainees when appropriate.
- Support and direction to clinical and clerical staff regarding behavioral health workflows and scheduling needs.
- Managing the referral queue and serving as the primary point of contact for other system departments.
- Coordinating care management activities across the Opioid Health Home, ensuring every member has an up‑to‑date Plan of Care/ITP and supervising the Recovery Coach.
- Spending 50% of time providing clinical services—individual and group psychotherapy and substance use treatment—to the Family Medicine Residency patient population.
- Evaluating referrals for appropriateness, using a brief intervention model, conducting holistic assessments, and maintaining patient safety.
- Maintaining knowledge of community resources, communicating with outpatient physicians, managing resource supplies, and coordinating family communications.
- Providing counseling related to opioid dependency and contributing to care planning for Opioid Health Home members.
- Partnering with Clinic and System Leadership on operations, workflow support, grant‑program oversight, and KPI monitoring.
- Communicating with physicians, staff, and the administrative team, maintaining relationships with outpatient clinic staff and the community.
- Contributing to a positive learning environment for students and residents by participating in formal educational activities and providing feedback.
- Managing equipment safely, maintaining regulatory requirements, complying with policies, keeping confidential information secure, and ensuring a safe workplace.
- LCSW, LMSW‑CC, LCPC, LCPC‑C, LMFT, or LMFT‑C. Minimum of sixty (60) hours of alcohol and drug education within the last five (5) years, or within five years of initiating service delivery for Opioid Health Home services.
- Additional licensure as an LADC is preferred.
- Additional languages preferred.
