Job Summary – CP‑2 Certified

Perform advanced field testing of corrosion control systems on underground and submerged metallic structures. Recommend and perform troubleshooting tests and identify when such testing is required. Work with engineering to determine design solutions.

Core Responsibilities
  • Work independently, make field decisions without direct supervision and obtain field data to determine the condition of structures under evaluation.
  • Compile and submit field data for senior staff review.
  • Be familiar with standard survey and construction practices for corrosion control projects.
  • Estimate duration for both engineering and construction projects.
  • Organize and perform multiple small to medium sized projects simultaneously.
  • Develop test procedures for complex troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate field data and prepare draft reports for the area supervisor.
  • Perform field design testing for cathodic protection solutions.
  • Work with engineering to design cathodic protection systems.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current certification with AMPP (formerly NACE International) as a Cathodic Protection Technician CP‑2.
  • 3‑5 years of experience in the corrosion control industry, particularly related to cathodic protection.
  • U.S. citizenship required for government contracts.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as interact with team members, clients and management staff.
  • Ability/willingness to travel as required.
  • Clean driving record and capability to operate a company vehicle.
  • Position may require significant time standing or walking on uneven ground, possible climbing of ladders or being in high places, working in tight spaces, lifting up to 60 pounds, and overall physical demand. Work may be in all‑weather environment.
