We are looking to hire a Construction Management Intern based in our Lewiston, ME office
.

The Construction Management Intern works directly under the supervision of Senior Project Managers and Superintendents to gain hands‑on experience in the planning, budgeting, and execution of construction projects. The role also assists in daily field operations and administrative tasks, and will gain a comprehensive view of the construction lifecycle from pre‑construction to project closeout.

• Project Documentation: Assist in the preparation and management of RFI (Request for Information) logs, submittals, and change orders.
• Site Supervision: Accompany the Superintendent on site walkthroughs to monitor progress, quality control, and safety compliance.
• Scheduling: Help update the master construction schedule using project management software and track milestone completion.
• Vendor Coordination: Communicate with subcontractors and material suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Meeting Support: Attend weekly owner/contractor (OC) meetings, take detailed minutes, and distribute action items to the team.
• Cost Control: Assist in reviewing invoices, verifying quantities of work in place, and tracking project costs against the budget.
• Safety Compliance: Participate in safety orientations and help conduct site safety audits to maintain a hazard‑free work environment.

• Education: In process of bachelors in construction management, Engineering, Business, or equivalent
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Blueprint Reading: Basic ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Driver's License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to visit various job sites.

  Experience:
  
  Familiarity with construction management software such as Trimble Project sight, Bluebeam Revu, Excel, or Microsoft Project.
• Certifications: OSHA 10‑Hour Construction Safety Certification.
• Previous
  
  Experience:
  
  Prior internship or field experience in the construction industry.
• Estimating
  
  Skills:
  
  Exposure to cost estimating or quantity take‑offs.
