AERO - E&T Sr Software Engineer

Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others.

May report directly to a project lead or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

The skill set should include:

• Experienced with C/C++, programming as it relates to the control of test instrumentation via IEEE-488, VISA, Ethernet, etc.
• Experienced with National Instruments Lab Windows Development.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office tools, Text editors, and Source control Tools.
• Able to support hands‑on rapid prototyping and implementation of test measurements on defined test equipment platforms.
• Able to work in a team environment as well as to interface with a remote lead / co-worker.

Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
