The Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient in the operating room. The OR RN works with the Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, ORT’s and other personnel to provide patient care in the Operating Room according to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN and regulatory standards, physician orders, policies and procedures of the Hospital.

• Scheduling cases
• Ensuring supplies
• Timeliness of cases
• Communication with families
• Updating of physician preference cards
• Scrubbing and circulating surgical cases
• Supervision of personnel delivering patient care

• Must have Idaho RN or multi-state RN license
• Must have ACLS & BLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Must have 3 years recent OR RN experience in a hospital setting (experience with General surgery, DaVinci, Orthopedic, robotic knee replacement, trauma, and Neuro)
• Day shift ), Monday through Friday with on-call, one day a week and one weekend a month
