POSITIONSUMMARY
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) acts as a liaison between patients and the medical staff ensuring that patients receive consistent, high‑quality care. CNAs provide basic patient care, assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and supporting overall patient well‑being under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES- Assist with the patient admission process.
- Collect patient information including family medical histories.
- Take patients’ vital signs such as blood pressure and heart rate.
- Help patients dress/undress or use the bathroom as needed.
- Turn or reposition patients who are confined to a bed.
- Assist patients with food and/or hydration.
- Clean rooms, make beds and stock supplies.
- Perform basic medical tasks including wound care and catheter care.
- Assist with patient transfers and discharges.
- Monitor patients for signs of illness or infection.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of regulations applicable to patient care and/or other Center functions.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of patient care provided to ensure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team to ensure quality care.
- Follow the Center’s exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens.
- Able to problem solve in the presence of stressful situations/work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited CNA training program (per State requirements)
- CNA license
- BLS certification (as required by individual ASC policy)
