Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology Join our esteemed healthcare team as an Internal Medicine specialist specializing in Hematology and Oncology, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and comfort. This pivotal role involves managing a diverse patient population in a dynamic clinical setting, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional treatment and support. In this position, you will see 15-20 clinic patients daily and manage approximately 45 infusion patients through our infusion center.

The clinic operates from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and is staffed with experienced OCN nurses. Hospitalists are available to admit patients when necessary, and consults in Hematology/Oncology are routine. The role involves limited telephone calls. Our onsite facilities include radiation oncology, surgery, interventional radiology, and laboratory services. Nurse Practitioners see patients on alternating visits and manage treatment plans; MDs handle new patient evaluations and complex cases.

Required Skills:

Valid medical license in relevant state Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine with specialization or experience in Hematology and Oncology Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) Nice to Have

Skills:

Experience in infusion therapy management Prior work in hospital and outpatient settings Familiarity with radiation oncology and interventional radiology procedures Advanced certifications in oncology or hematology (e.g., OCN certification) Preferred

Education and Experience:

MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Hematology and Oncology Prior experience in a multidisciplinary team environment Other Requirements:
Willingness to participate in occasional on-call duties Commitment to maintaining up-to-date licensure and certifications Eligible for malpractice insurance coverage Ability to comply with all health and safety regulations Compensation starts at an hourly pay rate of $1.00.
