Facilities Specialist

Part-time, Wednesday-following Tuesday (off on weekends), 8:00am – 5:00pm

Under the general direction of the department supervisor, is responsible receiving and shipping freight, filling supply orders, and assisting with maintaining equipment, supplies, and vehicle inventory control and records.

• Receives and unloads freight, checking for damage.
• Verifies quantity and quality of order, and items received with packing slips.
• Delivers and retrieves supplies to and from work or storage areas.
• Tags and issues supplies to specific departments.
• Stock shelves and rotate inventory.
• May assemble and move furniture and assist with equipment and vehicles maintenance.
• Fills client supply orders.

• Monitors and inventories stockroom and printer drums/toners.
• Operates a personal computer to access and enter information in inventory system.
• Answers phone and provides effective solutions using superior customer service skills.
• May assist Purchasing Specialist with inventory management and solutions.
• May coordinate disposal of surplus property or shredding of files.

• Maintains refrigerators, freezers and agitator per procedure.
• Coordinates some facility physical needs with Lab management and hospital if needed.

• Customer service and teamwork focus.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to stand, bend, pull, lift safely throughout the durations of scheduled shift.
• Able to push or pull wheeled carts with orders of various weight.

• Experience handling and storing supplies and using inventory management software.
