Position: Pastoral and Wellbeing Mentor (Contract)

We are currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic school support professional to work in a secondary school in Lewisham from after February half term through to the end of the academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in pastoral support, behaviour support, mentoring or youth work who is looking to make a real impact in a supportive school environment.

The role will involve:

Supporting students with their wellbeing, behaviour and engagement

Working closely with the pastoral and leadership teams

Providing 1:1 and small group support where required

Helping to maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning

Being a positive role model within the school community

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working with children or young people (school, youth work, mentoring or similar)

A calm, patient and consistent approach

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

The ability to work effectively as part of a team

An enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
