GSL Education London Branch are looking for an experienced Computer Science Teacher to work at a welcoming and forward-thinking coeducational secondary school in Hackney. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Computer Science Teacher who is keen to inspire students and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages. The school is well-resourced, supportive, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning.

As a Computer Science Teacher, you will play a key role in developing students’ digital skills and confidence. This role is ideal for a motivated Computer Science Teacher who can start immediately and make a positive impact. Responsibilities include:

Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons in line with the national curriculum

Teach Computer Science across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 is desirable but not essential)

Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear feedback

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Use a range of teaching strategies to support different learning needs

Work collaboratively with other staff and departments

Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Proven experience as a Computer Science Teacher in a secondary school setting

Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science

Good classroom and behaviour management skills

Ability to motivate and engage students

Strong communication and organisational skills

Right to work in the UK
