ASD Teaching Assistant
Location: Lewisham, South East London
Pay: 95-115 per day
Start Date: As soon as possible

We are working with a supportive school in Lewisham
, seeking a dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism. This is a rewarding role for someone patient, consistent and confident supporting children with additional needs in a structured environment.

You will be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
, helping them to access learning, manage sensory needs and develop communication and independence skills.

• Support pupils with autism in the classroom
• Provide 1:1 and small group support
• Assist with communication using visuals, PECS or other strategies
• Support emotional regulation and behaviour
• Help maintain clear routines and structure
• Support personal care where required
• Work closely with teachers and the SEN team

• Have experience supporting children with ASD (school or care background)
• Be calm, patient and reliable
• Understand sensory needs and structured routines
• Be confident supporting behaviour and emotional needs
  
  Be comfortable with personal care if required
• Work well as part of a team
