Students must maintain a grade average of 85% and may not have absences or tardiness. Books and supplies ($30) are required as a deposit and a set of scrubs is required for each day of class and clinical. A criminal background check and registry review will be conducted; candidates with felony convictions, certain misdemeanor charges, or who appear on abuse registries will be excluded.

The 10‑day class is intensive and no absences or tardiness are permitted. Students are selected based on the healthcare center’s needs, shift availability, entrance exam score, flexibility, prior work history, and attitude. Successful completion may lead to employment opportunities.
