Acute Care, Level 1 Trauma Center

• Unit: 20-bed combined Medical, Surgical, and Cardiac ICU

• Nursing

Shift: 12-hour nights (rotating, primarily nights)

• Guaranteed

Hours:

36 hours per week

• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2

• Floating:
May float to PACU in rotation with permanent staff

• Charting System:
Cerner Power Chart
ICU RN Qualifications

• Active Delaware or compact Registered Nurse license

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience

• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment in ICU

• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

• Recent experience with EPIC (6 months within the past year preferred)

• Proficiency in ventilator management, line insertion, arterial line, CVP, and Swan-Ganz catheter

• Ability to care for a variety of critical care patients including respiratory distress, cardiac arrest, stroke, DKA, overdose, and post-surgical cases
ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU environment

• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

• Utilize advanced medical equipment and perform specialized procedures (ventilator management, line insertions, arterial line, CVP, Swan-Ganz)

• Float to PACU as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner Power Chart

• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
