REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Master's degree

* Must hold State of Delaware initial or continuing license

* Must hold Delaware certification as an Secondary School Counselor

* Must have completed and submitted online application

PREFERRED

QUALIFICATION:

* At least three successful years of experience working at the secondary level

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assist all students in the areas of academic achievement and social/emotional development.

* Provide short-term counseling to small groups and individual students.

* Provide pull-out support to students in the area of social/emotional growth.

* Provide referrals for individual students with identified concerns and needs to appropriate agencies.

* Conduct data analysis to identify student issues, needs and challenges within the school.

* Provide classroom lessons that address bullying, safety, conflict resolution, and other mental health topics.

* Assist with crisis management.

* Develop and follow an effective school counseling program and annual plan, consistent with the school, district and ASCA mission and vision.

* Uphold ASCA ethical and professional standards.

* Be a team player, an excellent communicator, and have a willingness to work strategically with parents of all students.

* Attends meetings and programs, including MTSS team.

* Other responsibilities as determined by the school Principal.
