Afternoon School Cleaner

Overview

We are looking to employ a reliable and responsible cleaner for a position in a local school in the Dickens Avenue area in Tilbury, Essex.

Working hours:

3.00pm to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday during term time.

Salary: £12.21 p/h = £752.44 p/m

Contract:

39 weeks per year + 5 weeks deep cleaning during school holidays.

• Clean offices and admin areas within the school, classrooms, toilets, and communal areas.
• Carry out duties such as emptying bins, polishing, mopping floors, hoovering, cleaning tables and chairs, toilet cleaning, and any other associated duties as required.
• Take direction well and implement cleaning policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
• Maintain attention to detail and take pride in work while displaying reliability and a good attitude.

• Prior experience as a cleaner is an advantage, but not necessary.
• Willingness to learn and work with a positive attitude.
• Good attention to detail.
• Good communication skills are essential for health and safety reasons.
• Full training in all aspects of cleaning will be provided, and a uniform will be supplied.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check, the expense of which will be part shared by the employer.
