Our nationwide Plant and Tool division hires a range of equipment—including diggers, dumpers, and small hand tools—to companies within the construction, utilities and infrastructure sectors. As a Mobile Plant Mechanic you will play a pivotal role in the success of the depot by ensuring that customers can hire what they need, when they need it, through the efficient servicing and maintenance of a variety of plant and tools within the GAP fleet.

You will be responsible for attending customer sites and breakdowns to maintain, identify, and repair any faults or damage to GAP fleet equipment while accurately updating service records.

• Proven experience working as a plant mechanic/fitter in a field-based role with a relevant mechanical qualification or significant time served (essential)
• Sound, current knowledge of heavy plant machinery maintenance
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively under pressure
• A customer‑focused approach, committed team player, and ability to handle workload
• A valid driving licence (essential)
