Zero Prescription Delivery Driver a 12

Role Overview

We are looking to recruit a Zero Hour Prescription Delivery Driver to work on a 12‑month fixed term contract at our 512 branch at Stanley Street, Ulverston, LA12 7BS.

Branch opening hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00. A successful candidate must be flexible to work within these hours, possess great people skills and a desire to provide a professional service standard to both our customers and Pharmacy Teams.

• Promptly and conscientiously deliver prescription items to private houses, nursing and residential homes whilst maintaining a high standard of customer service.
• Act as an ambassador for the Cohens brand by portraying a friendly, professional image.
• Work under pressure to deliver prescriptions within designated time periods.
• Ensure prescriptions are delivered in line with company‑regulated procedures and maintain attention to detail.
• Plan and print daily routes using the branch computer system.
• Submit weekly mileage claims; fuel receipts must be obtained for each petrol station visit.
  
  Assist with PR exercises to increase business where required.
• Use own vehicle; personal insurance policy must allow business use. Provide evidence of increased premium for a financial contribution to business insurance.

• Flexible availability within the branch opening hours.
• Excellent people skills and customer‑service orientation.
• Basic computer skills for route planning and mileage claim submission.
• Valid driving record and personal vehicle suitable for business use.
• Willingness to comply with DBS checks.
