This is a casual role working as and when required to cover for another support worker when they are away. Currently the support worker provides support on a Thursday for 5 hours.
We are offering an hourly rate from £12.50 with enhanced rates for overtime and annual pay reviews/rises.
The person you will support has a farming background and is now visually impaired. This is not a regular role; the successful candidate will join the team to provide consistent support for the client when the current worker is unable to.
The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and a kind, respectful approach to supporting individuals in their home environment. They will be keen to support with a variety of community tasks. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who values making a positive impact to someone's life.
For genuine occupational reasons we are looking to appoint a male candidate only (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule
9).
To be considered for this role we require you to have a full UK driving licence with use of your own vehicle and business insurance.

No two days will be the same. This role might include supporting people with their home and community tasks, providing a customised, responsive and high‑quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services. Everyday tasks may include cooking and cleaning, finances, appointments, their social life. Everyone we support is an individual, so their care is as unique as they are.
