Commercial Analyst

East Sussex (Hybrid Working)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a successful business as a Commercial Analyst. This is a key role for a part-qualified accountant with a strong analytical mindset and commercial acumen, looking to take the next step in their career.

About the role:

You will play a central role in supporting the finance team by preparing management accounts, analysing performance, and helping the business make informed commercial decisions. You will work closely with different teams, providing insight into key business metrics, margins, and financial performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting year-end processes
• Analysing key financial information to support strategic and operational decision-making
• Conducting margin analysis to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency
• Maintaining and reconciling data for internal reporting
• Supporting ad-hoc financial projects and business initiatives

Who we are looking for:

• Part-qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a logical approach
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, Power Query, and financial modelling
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools, such as Power BI, is highly desirable
• Confident communication skills, able to present financial data to different stakeholders
