Air Quality Consultant (1-2 Years' Experience)
Location:
Brighton
Working Pattern:
Hybrid working available (minimum 1 day per week in the Brighton office)
Salary: £28,000-£32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
We are seeking a motivated and proactive Air Quality Consultant with 1-2 years' experience to join our growing Brighton-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career consultant looking to build strong technical foundations and progress within a supportive, professional consultancy environment.
The Role
You will be involved in a broad range of air quality projects, with a particular focus on developments influenced by road traffic emissions. The role offers a balanced mix of hands-on technical work, exposure to varied projects, and structured support to help you develop your skills and confidence as a consultant.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver air quality assessments for development and infrastructure projects
Undertake air dispersion modelling, with an emphasis on road traffic emissions
Support the preparation of technical reports and planning documentation
Analyse and interpret monitoring and modelling data, presenting findings clearly
Work collaboratively with colleagues and clients across multiple projects
Essential Requirements
1-2 years' professional experience in air quality consultancy or a related field
Practical experience in air dispersion modelling, including road traffic models
Experience assessing developments affected by road traffic emissions
Membership of the IAQM, or actively working towards it
A relevant degree in environmental science, air quality, or a related discipline
Strong written and verbal communication skills
