If your looking for a role where playfulness, inventiveness and creativity are key, and where no two days are ever the same, then this is the opportunity that you have been waiting for Little Legends Nursery is looking to recruit a professional, inspirational and motivated Early Years Teacher to join our already established, amazing Older Toddlers and Pre-school team.
The Older Toddlers and Pre-school team care for up to 28 children daily, aged 2.5 years to 5 years in age.
The groups are based across one floor, which is split into two light, bright and well-resourced, playrooms.
The groups have access to a large outdoor forest school inspired classroom / garden space and can also access the nursery's Well-being Studio / Sensory Room for the delivery of planned activities.
As Early Years Teacher
- Forest School and Holistic Approaches Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of learning and development activities in the garden space and within the Well-being studio for both rooms.
You will contribute to the planning, to aid the creation of an engaging outdoor learning environment, full of exciting daily activities that evoke awe and wonder.
Furthermore, you will contribute to the development of a calm and nurturing environment, where emotional well-being is given equal focus and where self-regulation activities are integrated as part of the overall educational program.
An interest in nature, outdoor learning and holistic approaches would be beneficial, as the nursery is currently developing practices including Early Years Yoga and Forest School inspired experiences and Hygge.
You will need to have Early Year Teacher Status (EYTS), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with previous Early Years knowledge or practice, or hold Early Years Professional Statues (EYPS). You will need to have a thorough understanding of the EYFS and experience of carrying out the key person role.
Whilst Forest School training / qualifications are not essential, they would certainly be desirable and beneficial for this role.
Within the role you will be supporting the senior management team to strengthen further the teaching skills of the wider team.
The role will include mentoring, monitoring the learning environment and planned experiences and record keeping.
The role will including working directly with the children and ensuring that all daily tasks are completed.
The ideal candidate must be willing and open to engage in continuous professional development as Little Legends Nursery is committed to further staff training and continuous professional development.
Little Legends Nursery works with all members of staff, providing regular reviews, support and training opportunity's.
Person Specification Essential Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with previous Early Years knowledge or practice, or hold Early Years Professional Statues (EYPS) or Early Year Teacher Status (EYTS). Experience in a similar role or in an environment working closely with children.
A detailed understanding of the EYFS Team Player.
Safeguarding and Health & Safety awareness.
Self-Motivated
- able to work under own initiative.
An interest in Hygge.
Experience in safeguarding children.
Experience in supporting children and families with additional needs.
Experience with SEND Current First Aid certificate.
Current food hygiene certificate.
