About the role

As Deputy Headteacher, you will work with the Headteacher to shape and lead the whole school curriculum and teaching and learning strategies. You will monitor and support effective teaching, lead on attendance and assessment, and act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL). This position does not include a regular classroom teaching commitment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee whole school (Nursery – Year
    6) curriculum development and implementation
  • Lead and monitor whole school teaching and learning to ensure high-quality education for ALL pupils
  • Work alongside the Headteacher to oversee assessment
  • Drive and lead improvements in pupil attendance
  • Support and develop staff through coaching and leadership
  • Lead the day to day running of the school
  • Collaborate with the Headteacher, Governors, and Trust to achieve school goals
  • Fulfil the role of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, promoting pupil safety and wellbeing

  • Has a proven track record for effective strategic school improvement
  • Has experience of leading curriculum, teaching and learning, assessment and attendance.

  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils
