Location: 63 Allington Road, Newick, East Sussex, BN8 4NB

Hours: 1–5 hours per week, part‑time, term‑time only (fixed‑term 4 months)

Salary: £24,413 per annum (pro rata)

Role

Supervise primary school children during lunch breaks, both inside and outside the school while they eat and play.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor children during lunch and play to ensure safety and positive behaviour.
• Support children in eating and making lunchtime a calm, enjoyable experience.
• Encourage and model positive play among children.
• Maintain a safe play environment and respond promptly to any incidents.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Good listening and communication skills.
• Friendly, caring, confident and proactive.
• Understanding of the needs of primary‑aged children and how to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to integrate well into a community and school setting.

Eligibility – Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018

The school must ensure that no candidate is knowingly employed if they are disqualified under the 2018 Regulations for relevant childcare provision.
