Position: (REPOST) (2) Mechanics, Full Time - Central Office

Mechanic – Full Time

Classified Positions:
Mechanic, Full Time

Hours/Months: 8 hrs./12 mos.

Hourly Rate: $31.84

Effective Date: 5.1.26

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience providing maintenance and repair of transportation vehicles.
  • Previous experience maintaining/repairing school buses and diesel engines preferred.
  • Current Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement, no Air Brake Restriction, and clean driving record.
  • Current Class 7 State Inspection license.
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain school buses, vans, and other equipment as assigned.
  • Maintain adequate supply of all inventory and supplies.
  • Provide emergency road service to district vehicles.
  • Assist drivers when required to maintain proper fuel supply, engine oil level, transmission oil level, engine coolant level, and proper air pressure in tires.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Assist with snow and ice removal as needed.
