Our Assistant Seafood Managers are responsible for the direct supervision of the Seafood Department operations, providing customer service, and ensuring that team associates follow company policies and procedures. The Assistant Seafood Manager will provide exceptional customer service, being friendly, responsive, knowledgeable, and passionate while serving as a role model for other team members.
Responsibilities- Assist with the operations of our Seafood Department, including providing excellent customer service, ensuring seafood quality, presentation, merchandising, organization, pricing, stocking, etc.
- Assist with the training and scheduling of Seafood Clerk staff.
- Filet fish for order or display, set display for proper presentation, prepare seafood, and ensure that ice is always replenished.
- Assist all customers with their seafood questions.
- Assure that all company policies and safety guidelines are adhered to at all times.
- Other duties and functions as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior management experience in a busy seafood department.
- Hands‑on experience with fish filleting, seafood preparation, cleaning, and display setup, with strong knowledge of different types of seafood.
- Ability to train, develop, and mentor team members while effectively utilizing their skills.
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Proficiency in operating commercial kitchen equipment relevant to the seafood department.
