As a Technician, you will support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within your store. Technicians are often the first point of contact to assist our patients and customers to deliver an exceptional experience. You will ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely and accurately, and that we provide caring service that exceeds patient expectations.
Responsibilities- Live our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, offering immunizations, and solving or escalating patient problems
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as accurately putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, and waiting bin inventories
- Contribute to a high‑performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, traveling to stores as needed
- Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles; ensure patient safety, controlled substance compliance, and privacy protection
- Deliver additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, off‑site clinics) where allowable by law and training
- Complete additional licensure and training to obtain Technician Immunizer status to prepare and administer vaccines
- Educate patients about vaccines and refer questions to pharmacist‑on‑duty
- Monitor and respond to adverse reactions; report events per public health requirements
- Review and collect patient information; track and document patient records
- Monitor and manage vaccine supplies
- Comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education, and licensure/certification
- If no state minimum age requirement, be at least 16 years old
- If no state minimum educational requirement, have a high school diploma or be actively enrolled in a high school or equivalency program
- State‑level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Attention and Focus: concentrate, pivot quickly, confirm prescription accuracy, and ensure patient safety
- Customer Service and Team Orientation: look for ways to help people in a friendly manner and respond to patients’ reactions

Skills:
use and understand verbal and written communication, active listening, and appropriate questioning - Mathematical Reasoning: use math to solve problems such as tallying tablets and determining day’s supply
- Problem Resolution: identify challenging interactions and choose best course of action
- Physical Demands: mobile, lift, reach, type, lift up to 20 lbs, maintain visual acuity, and exchange ideas verbally
- Any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
- 1‑3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs
