Kichton Construction LP is the Fort McMurray based Heavy Civil entity within the Kichton Group of companies which has been operating since 1963. Kichton Construction LP commenced operations in 2019 as the industrial division of the Kichton Group to serve the Energy and Mining Industries throughout North America. Since inception, KCLP has grown sustainably and exponentially, starting with 30 experienced team members in 2019 to now over 400 team members and over 300 pieces of heavy equipment.

KCLP is proud to continue operating alongside our Community Partner, the Chipewyan Prairie First Nation, as part of our NOHA/Kichton Joint‑Venture.

We are seeking a full time Dozer Operator to work in the Fort McMurray area. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2+ years of experience operating dozers in the Oilsands.

• Schedule:
  
  12‑hour days (paid for 11.5 hours). 14 days on, 7 off. 14 nights on, 7 off.
• Accommodations:
  Camp accommodation is provided.
• Transportation:
  Flights are provided to and from Edmonton or Calgary. Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to the site (before and after rotation).
• Overtime:
  After 8 hours in a day and after 40 hours in a week.

• Operate D9‑D11 dozers and various sizes and models required to complete assigned work.
• Ripping above the shovel and supporting shovels at the site as requested.
• Reading stakes and placing a grade as needed.
• Ensuring compliance with all company, client and legislated safety policies, operating standards and procedures.
• Using adequate safety equipment, including PPE.
• Reviewing safe work plans/hazard assessment before job commencement and following all requirements.
• Completing equipment/area walk‑arounds, safety checks and field‑level risk assessments, and ensuring all equipment is running properly.
• Reporting any necessary or anticipated repairs to the maintenance team or supervisors immediately.
• Reporting all incidents, near misses or damage immediately.

• Overtime after 8 hours per day.
• $2.00 per hour increase after 90 days, subject to a successful performance review.
• $2.00 per hour bonus starting from day one, paid quarterly as long as there are no safety infractions, disciplinary actions, missed flights or shifts, quits or dismissals.
• 9.6% vacation and statutory holiday pay on all regular hours paid out bi‑weekly.

• Minimum 2‑3 years of experience operating dozers D9 to D11.
• Willing and able to work in soft ground conditions (Muskeg) and rip frost above shovels.
• Minimum one year of experience in a mining atmosphere preferred.
• Familiar and comfortable working in a production environment.
• Ability to follow instructions to ensure safe equipment operation.
• Safety‑first attitude.
• Attentive and possess strong listening skills.
• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
