We currently have exciting opportunities within our Cavendish Farms operations for Agri Student to join our Team in Lethbridge, Alberta for the Summer 2026 Work Term. Reporting to the Agriculture Manager, the successful candidate will be a results-driven, self-starter who is looking for opportunities to learn the processing potato business. This role offers great opportunity for visibility and career development. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the "Can-Do" attitude and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture or Technical Diploma in Agriculture.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage conflict and participate in a team environment.
- A proven track record of being a self-starter and taking initiative.
- Valid Class 5 license

- Sample potato storages, evaluate seed cutting operations and planter accuracy.
- Visit grower fields as necessary obtaining samples as required.
- Participate in learning opportunities to enhance your extension skills.
- Provide timely data on potato quality.
- Participate with Production staff to determine their potato requirements for plant operations.
- Report food safety and quality issues to personnel with authority to initiate actions.
- Assist with the supervision 10 hourly truck unloading and potato grading staff.
