AboutThe Role
The successful candidate will be able to multitask running the labeler and palletizer and prioritize their equipment to keep packaging running. They must be a strong communicator between shipping and packaging, be able to proficiently troubleshoot areas and communicate those issues to lead hand.
What You’ll Be Doing- Safely operate the Palletizer and Wrapper
- Use the Warehouse Management System and COLO’s to accurately record production
- Achieve a pace as to keep up to shipping and production
- Communication with both Packaging and Shipping and working as part of a team
- Proper documentation of product movements
- Properly complete all required documentation
- Maintain good housekeeping in the area
- Performing required daily tests to ensure product quality, consistency, and determine equipment effectiveness. Then recording results into the designated McCain database to drive Real Time Management and support data analysis.
- Other related duties as assigned.
“This position is based in a regulated manufacturing environment and requires strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Employees must consistently follow all GMP, safety, and hygiene requirements, including restrictions on jewelry, personal items, and attire while on the production floor. Compliance with these standards is an essential duty of the role to ensure product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.”
What You’ll Need To Be Successful- Must have proven history of safe work habits and able to exercise good judgment in making decisions relative to the operation of a production line.
- Familiar OCAP and basic computer skills.
- High School Graduate
- Mechanically inclined and able to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control software (Infinity
QS), SAP data entry, and general production requirements is an asset. - Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently using effective time management and organizational skills
- Experienced with the safe handling of chemicals in accordance with WHMIS.
- Must have strong communication skills, ability to follow detailed instructions, and be able to maintain good working relationships with Supervision and coworkers as well as ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work on a rotating shift basis.
- Mathematical ability to perform basic calculations.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently using effective time management and organizational skills.
- Must be willing to work in a team-based atmosphere.
- Able to work in fluctuating temperature environment (extreme cold to warm)
- Experienced with the safe handling of chemicals in accordance with WHMIS.
- Must have or be willing to complete training on forklift, Zamboni, personal fall protection and scissor/boom lift.
- Physically capable of performing all required duties including some heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
