Base Journeyperson Rate – Up to $42.00/hr

• Technical Skill: Experience with fabrication (Stainless, Aluminum, Carbon steel) and forming equipment (Brake, Shear, Plate Rollers) is preferred.
• Detail Oriented: You can read/interpret blueprints and have a passion for high-quality, custom fabricated metal components.

• Welding Processes: Perform SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW welds to specification.
• Compliance: Adhere to all C&A, Provincial, and Prime Contractor health and safety regulations.
• Technical Execution: Read blueprints, identify materials and parts from bills of material, fit complex weldments and determine welding procedures to minimize distortion.
• Mathematics: Apply knowledge of fractions, measuring, and geometry.

• Journey persons: Must possess an Alberta Welding Certificate or Inter-Provincial Red Seal.
• Apprentices: Must possess a High School Diploma.
• Certifications: Ability to pass CWB welding tests.
• Driver’s License: Candidates with a valid Class 5 license and clean 3‑year driving abstract are strongly preferred.
